Las Vegas, NV, October 2024 – Urban AI Solutions is excited to announce that our proprietary MetroStream AI accelerator was the driving force behind a cutting-edge private 5G demonstration showcased at Supermicro’s booth during the prestigious Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Las Vegas. In collaboration with Intel, this demo illustrated the full capabilities of our MetroStream platform, running on Intel’s SPREE, E810, and Intel GPU Flex technologies.
The demo featured a single-socket Supermicro server running four private 5G networks, complete with independent 5G cores, virtualized Radio Access Networks (vRANs), and a robust EDGE AI library with 27 advanced AI services tailored for smart city and transportation applications. This powerful, AI-driven system showcased how MetroStream can streamline network operations and enhance real-time AI inferencing, all within a compact, efficient architecture.
This technology is not just a prototype—it has already been commercialized and deployed in Santa Clara, with plans to expand into Austin and other major cities. MetroStream offers unparalleled capabilities in network optimization, scalability, and AI-powered orchestration, presenting a revolutionary solution for cities and industries seeking to build next-generation infrastructure.
“We’re thrilled that MetroStream was at the heart of this groundbreaking private 5G demo at MWC Las Vegas,” said Claude Swain, CEO of Urban AI Solutions. “Our collaboration with Supermicro and Intel is pushing the boundaries of what private 5G and AI-driven orchestration can achieve, transforming sectors like smart cities, transportation, and soon defense, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing.”
